SouthFork, Boy Scout and family

It started out a cloudy cool morning but by afternoon was very warm.  Our first stop of the day was to:

the infamous gun:

the family tree was really hard to follow:

after the museum we took a tram to the "mansion" where our tour guide gave us a 20 talk about the history of the ranch.  the house is only about 6000 sq ft, the house on the TV program was about 48,000 sq ft.

the dining room:

Miss Ellie's kitchen:

Miss Ellie and her boys:

waiting for breakfast, this is the exact table where the Ewings would have breakfast:

the pool:

the long driveway:

Jocks ride (he always left the breakfast table mad and raced down the driveway)

from the new Dallas, Elana's cottage:

welcome home:

we left SouthFork headed to Irving where we made a quick stop to see the Mustangs of Las Colinas:

Next stop:

Minnesota connection:

Not for me:

time for a visit with cousin Patti Cook and Alison Aughnay:

We had a wonderful visit, sad we only see them once a year but thankful that we get to have time to talk and laugh.
