Spring in the air…

beautiful hot sunny Monday.  we began our day by watering our seedlings at Reveg.  then walked a few trails to clean up branches and trash before meeting up with Kim and the new volunteer to thin the grass seedlings back at Reveg.  Our first batch of grass is getting really tall, the others are not growing as well.  not sure if it is the type of grass or too much water?  then back to the refuge to complete a few more trails.

trying to clean out the refrigerator before heading home.  the freezer is almost done.  we try not to keep too much stuff.  spent a few minutes packing up a few things that we will not use in the next week.

I purchased a ‘Loud and Clear” hearing amplifier at Walgreens.  the idea is to see if I can hear the birds better!

Tried the Loud and Clear on Tuesday at the Refuge.  it was a bit windy so I could really hear that but I could pick up a few birds with it better than without.  I still can not find the birds or tell you what they are but I could hear them.  will give it another shot..

pretty much more of the same clearing branches, brush etc and working at the reveg with our seedlings.

Wednesday: another very windy day.

we are not very good with plants but this one just bloomed and again it smells so sweet!

a very cloudy windy warm humid day!  a spontaneous gathering after work for cocktails and a few treats with the volunteers.  they are all so fun and nice to be with… we will miss them all.

Brother Ray is coming in tomorrow for the weekend.  we have lots of fun stuff planned. can’t wait to see him.
